Kia Ora and Newhaven Park Cheer Winners

Tara Madgwick - Tuesday January 18

A couple of well related homebred three year-olds for Kia Ora Stud and Newhaven Park were winners at Wyong on Tuesday and both have the promise of more wins to come.

Newhaven Park might be very glad they passed in Not a Single Doubt gelding Flucuate, who has now won two from two.

Fluctae was passed in not once, but twice at both Inglis Easter ad Inglis Easter Round 2

Trained by Richard and Michael Freedman, Flucuatewon on debut at Gosford on New Year’s Eve and backed it up to win easily in the Class 1 over 1200m at Wyong as favoruite.

Flucuate is the third winner from three foals to race from stakes-placed Jaquetta, a full sister to Group II winner Count Encosta and half-sister to Group II winner Lieutenant.

Jaquetta had a colt last spring by Magna Grecia (IRE) and as then covered by Newhaven Park’s new sire Cool Aza Beel.

Annabel Neasham has been entrusted with Kia Ora Stud’s Redoute’s Choice colt Rejoiced, who won his third race from three starts when scoring over 1350m by a short neck as favourite.

Rejoiced was  withdrawn from Inglis Easter and retained to race and is the sixth winner from Joy Toy, a winning half-sister by Encosta de Lago to Champion Mare and eight time Group I winner More Joyous.

Joy Toy has a yearling colt by Russian Revolution and was covered last spring by All Too Hard after missing the previous year.
