The Chris Waller-trained Japonisme is nominated for the Group I Moir Stakes at Moonee Valley on Friday night and he went out once the light was suitable.

Japonisme was wide out on the course proper, three-quarter speed from the 800m and not much quicker in the home straight before being allowed to dash the last 200m, timing a guess with the finish line obscured from the middle of the track.

Markers on the steeple grass were out three metres, riders reporting the ground riding in the good(4) range.

Racenet has compiled a list of times below with an analysis of the work to assist punters.
