First $1million Colt for I Am Invincible

Tara Madgwick - Tuesday April 5

Yarraman Park’s I Am Invincible broke the ice for his first seven figure sale at Inglis Easter on Tuesday when his colt from Calming Influence made $1million for Bhima Thoroughbreds, who have been in the Group I groove as vendors in recent weeks having sold both Forbidden Love and Imperatriz.

The powerhouse bay was bought by Coolmore’s Tom Magnier, who has enjoyed success from this sale with I Am Invincible purchasing his dual Group I winning son Home Affairs for $875,000 in 2020.

Winner of the Group I VRC Coolmore Stud Stakes and Lightning Stakes, 3YO Home Affairs is Royal Ascot bound with a lucrative career at stud to follow.

The first $1million yearling of the sale for I Am Invincible.

“He was a lovely colt and a lovely moving colt, so hopefully we will have a bit of luck with him like Home Affairs,” said Tom Magnier after the sale.

This colt from Group III placed Commands mare Calming Influence is a half-brother to a winner and his grand-dam is stakes-winner Calming, a half-sister to the dam of Group I winning sprinter War Artist.

Calming Influence had a colt by Zoustar last spring and was then covered by him again.
