Street Boss Filly Street Delight Opens Winning Account at Sandown

Mark Smith - Monday April 18

With a half-sister due to go under the hammer at next month's Inglis Australian Weanling Sale, the Symon Wilde-trained filly Street Delight scored a timely win in the Ive Print Hcp (1300m) at Sandow-lakeside on Monday.

After failing to strike a blow at her first two starts, the daughter of Street Boss (USA) earned her maiden success the hard way.

Caught four-wide early, Craig Williams pushed om to sit outside of the pacesetting Emirate Pride.

Given her head shortly after turning for home, Street Delight stayed on strongly to defeat the favourite Miss Dunsford (Dissident) by a length and a quarter with the Merchant Navy debutant Callsign Charlie a further two and a quarter lengths back in third.

Like the winner, Callsign Charlie has a sibling catalogued for the Inglis Weanling Sale.

Bred by Aquis Farm, Street Delight was a $3,000 purchase for Jared Wehlow Racing at the 2020 Gold Coast National Weanling Sale,

She offered a few months later at the 2020 Inglis November (Late) Online Sale, where she caught the attention of Edinburgh Park Stud's eagle-eyed Ian Smith.

After changing hands for $20,000, Edinburgh Park entered the daughter of Street Boss (USA) to the 2021 Magic Millions Adelaide Yearling Sale, where Bennett Racing had the final say at $100,000.

Street Delight is the third winner for the accomplished Barely A Moment mare Whitten's Delight, a sister to the stakes-placed Awakened.

Mullaglass Stud consigns a half-sister to Street Delight from the first crop of Aquis Farms BRC Champagne Classic and ATC Breeders' Plate winner Dubious (Not A Single Doubt) at next month's Inglis weanling sale.
