Hunter Valley nursery Holbrook Thoroughbreds are bringing a solid draft of 15 to Sydney for the Inglis HTBA May Yearling Sale with Julie Harris and her team offering youngsters bred to excel over all distances.

The consignment includes yearlings bred along classic lines, as well as youngsters bred for speed and a special filly that traces in tail female line to a champion blue hen.

Lot 141 Filly Pride of Dubai x Kirk Ella, by Lonhro

First foal of two time winning daughter of champion sire Lonhro and gets her grey colouring from her illustrious female line that traces back to champion mare Emancipation, who is her fourth dam. This branch of the family is noted for producing dual Group I winning sprinter Virage de Fortune.

Lot 163 Colt Ribchester (IRE) x Mae West (NZ), by Sir Percy (GB)


From the second crop of promising young Darley shuttler and is third foal of Group III placed Mae West. Closely related to Group III winner Who Dares Wins, who is by Ribchester’s sire Iffraaj.

From the second crop of exciting young Galileo son Churchill, whose first Australian crop includes exciting metro winners Conqueror and Robusto. He is the first foal of an unraced half-sister to stakes-winner Great Again and daughter of Group II winner Free at Last. Obvious classic potential on type and pedigree.

From the second crop of I Am Invincible’s Group I winning son Hellbent, who has already sired stakes horses Miss Hellfire, Bohemian Daisy and Warby, plus smart winner Hell Hath No Fury. He is the second foal of a placed sister to Group II placed Clover Lane and daughter of Group II winner Sequential Charm. Bred on successful I Am Invincible x O’Reilly nick that has produced Group winners North Pacific and Catch Me as well as stakes-winner Fuld’s Bet.

Lot 194 Filly Jukebox x One More Two More, by Onemorenomore

From the second crop of young Snitzel sire Jukebox and is the first foal of a winning half-sister to stakes-winner Run for Levi, who was also second in the Group I MRC Caulfield Guineas. Comes from the family of triple Group I winner Spark of Life.

Lot 205 Colt Harry Angel (IRE) x Port Elizabeth (IRE), by Danehill Dancer

Gorgeous colt from the first crop of Champion European Sprinter Harry Angel and is a half-brother to stakes-placed Anse Lazio from outstanding producer Port Elizabeth, who has had five foals to race all winners.  This international family is packed with Black Type performers including Group I winner Sarah Lynx and quality stayer Steel Prince (IRE), a Group III winner in Australia.
