Hot Lots Day Four – Magic Millions

After three days of Book 1 selling, Friday’s super session sees 280 lots catalogued in what will surely be a bumper day in the ring.

Anamoe achieved his highest priced yearling so far in the sale, recording $850,000 for a colt offered by Milburn Creek on day three, while the usual suspect Snitzel, Frankel and I Am Invincible all recorded very favourable results.

With 13 lots catalogued to sell on day four of the sale, Zoustar could be one stallion that moves up the ladder while Extreme Choice who currently leads on averages has just one final lot catalogued.

Lot 694: Anamoe x Pretty Fast colt – Segenhoe Stud

With Anamoe yerlings selling up to $850,000 so far at this sale, Segenhoe Stud have consigned more of his progeny than any other farm, and this colt is out of the Listed-winning Pretty Fast, a sister to G2 winner Doubtland, three-quarter sister to the G2-winning, G1 placed Villa Verde (dam of the G2-winning, G1 placed My Gladiola) and to the dam of Listed winner Bellazaine.

Lot 708: I Am Invincible x Qafila filly – Coolmore Stud

Fourth foal of the G1 South Australia Derby winner Qafila, this filly is bred on the I Am Invincible x Redoute’s Choice pedigree cross which has produced 66 winners from 88 runners led by the G3-winning, G1 Coolmore Stud Stakes runner-up My Gladiola.

Lot 720: Zoustar x Ready To Prophet filly – Widden Stud

Third foal out of the Listed-winning Smart Missile mare Ready To Prophet, the daughter of Champion sire Zoustar comes from the international G1 family of Itsmyluckyday. Zoustar x Smart Missile pedigree cross has 75% winners to runners.

Lot 724: Justify x Red Lodge colt – Emirates Park Stud

One of just six colts by Justify to sell on the final day of Book 1, this colt is a half-brother to G1 Sires’ Produce Stakes winner and $1.9m earner Manaal (Tassort), both out of the Listed-winning American mare Red Lodge, a half-sister to Listed winner Good Like Magic.

Lot 738: Harry Angel x Rock The Sea colt – North

Third foal of the Fastnet Rock three-quarter-sister to G3 winner Ennis Hill (dam of the G2-winning, G1 placed Learning To Fly), Listed-winning, G1 Golden Slipper placed Lake Geneva, stakes winner Acrobat and a half-sister to G3 winner No More Tears (dam of G1 Coolmore Stud Stakes winner Ozzmosis), family of G2 winner Hips Don’t Lie.

Lot 753: Stay Inside x Ruru filly – Sledmere Stud

First living foal of a So You Think half-sister to the dual G1 winner She’s Extreme (Extreme Choice), this colt is from the second crop of Extreme Choice’s G1 Golden Slipper winner Stay Inside.

Lot 776: I Am Invincible x Scorched Earth filly – Yarraman Park

First foal of the Listed-winning Nicconi mare Scored Earth, the daughter of I Am Invincible is from the family of speedsters Furnaces and Volcanic Rock, from the extended family of G1 winner Melito. This filly is bred on a very similar cross to dual G1 winner Magic Time, who is by I Am Invincible’s G1-winning son Hellbent.

Lot 781: Anamoe x Secret Trail colt – Widden Stud

The son of Champion Anamoe whose first crop yearlings have sold up to $850,000, this colt is the half-brother to the multiple stakes placed, $1.3m earner Spywire, a last start winner of the Magic Millions The Syndicate who contests Staurday’s $1m Magic Millions Snippets.

Lot 799: Snitzel x She’s Ideel colt – Baramul Stud

Second foal of the G3-winning, multiple G1 placed Dundeel mare She’s Ideel from the family of stakes winners Shanzero, What’s The Mail, Furore and Danestorm, the son of Snitzel is bred on the double Danzig cross that has produced 14 G1 winners including Autumn Glow, In The Congo and Southern Legend.

Lot 802: Written Tycoon x Shines Her Light colt – Yulong

One of just four lots offered on Friday by Written Tycoon, this colt is the second living foal out of the Irish-bred, American raced half-sister to G1 winner Ventura Storm (also a G2 winner in Australia) as well as the Listed winners Pearl Fortune and Sword Zorro.

Lot 805: Snitzel x Silent Sedition filly – Arrowfield Stud

A daughter of Champion sire Snitzel, this filly is out of the G1 William Reid Stakes winner Silent Sedition whose lone foal to race is 3yo colt War Of Silence (Snitzel), a G3 placed winner from four starts. Family of G1 winner Porto Roca, Monterosso and Bluebird The World.

Lot 821: I Am Invincible x Smart ‘N’ Sexy colt – Emirates Park

Second foal of the Listed-wining Smart Missile mare Smart ‘N’ Sexy, from the family of stakes-winning sprinters Marine One and Cannonball, the I Am Invincible colt is bred on a cross that has had three winners from four runners which includes three stakes performers led by G3 winner The Three Hundred.

Lot 837: Too Darn Hot x Southbank filly – Sledmere Stud

By Too Darn Hot, the sire of 31 stakes highlighted locally by multiple G1 winner Broadsiding, this filly is the third foal of the G1 Thousand Guineas placed Fastnet Rock mare Southbank whose lone foal to race is the G2 placed Providence, from the family of multiple G1 winner Preferment. Bred on the  Too Darn Hot x Fastnet Rock cross which has 13 winners from 16 runners including G3 winner Tornado Valley who lines up in Saturday’s $3m MM 2YO Classic.

Lot 865: I Am Invincible x Stellar Pauline filly – Yarraman Park

Second foal out of the G2 placed Not A Single Doubt mare Stellar Pauline, a sister to G1 winner Secret Agenda, who is in turn the dam of this season’s G2 Roman Consul Stakes winner Hidden Motive. Bred on the I Am Invincible x Redoute’s Choice pedigree cross which has produced 66 winners from 88 runners led by the G3-winning, G1 Coolmore Stud Stakes runner-up My Gladiola.

Lot 871: I Am Invincible x Subpoenaed colt – Yarraman Park

Second foal of the dual G2-winning, G1 placed Rip Van Winkle mare Subpoenaed, a half-sister to the Listed winner Not Guilty, the I Am Invincible colt’s full sister I Am Justice (unraced) sold last year for $450,000 to Ciaron Maher.

Lot 899: Anamoe x Tessneem colt – Segenhoe Stud

Second foal of the winning Lonhro sister to the G2-winning, G1 placed Heatherly (dam of G3 winner Red Resistance), the son of Anamoe is from the family of G1-winning grey Linton. Bred on the similar Street Boss x Lonhro cross that has produced four stakes winners headed by G2 winner Arcaded.

Lot 942: Snitzel x Vangelic colt – Coolmore Stud

First foal of the G2-winning, G1 placed Vancouver mare Vangelic, a winner of $1.4m on the track. Daughters out of sons of Medaglia d’Oro have produced 24 stakes winners headed by four G1 winners. The Danehill x Medaglia d’Oro pedigree cross has one winner from one runner, the stakes placed Mayfair who contests Saturday’s $2m Magic Millions Cup.

Lot 954: Wootton Bassett x Violinist colt – Yarraman Park

The second last lot in Book 1 by Wootton Bassett, the colt is the second foal of the G3 placed Fastnet Rock mare Violinist. He is bred on the same cross that has produced 14 winners from 21 runners led by G3 winner Napoleonic.

Lot 972: Hellbent x Whatalovelyday colt – Segenhoe Stud

The full brother to G1 Goodwood Handicap winner Benedetta and the G2 placed Whatafox, the Hellbent colt comes from the family of G1 winners Leica Guv, Light Fantastic and Pharaoh.
