See You In Heaven a Class Above in Breeders' Stakes

Mark Smith - Saturday April 30

The Richard and Chantelle Jolly-trained two-year-old filly See You In Heaven is proving an excellent ambassador for Aquis Stud’s Divine Prophet.

Coming off a win in the Listed Dequetteville Stakes, See You In Heaven dominated Saturday’s Group III Breeders’ Stakes (1200m) at Morphettville.

Ridden by Jake Toeroek, See You In Heaven was in a race of her own down the straight. The daughter of Divine Prophet speared away to defeat the Zoustar colt Twin Stars by two lengths with the Impending filly Hope At Hand a further one and a half lengths back in third.

See You In Heaven advances her record to three wins and a third from four starts with earnings of $261,355.

“I always get a bit worried when they are short odds like that,” Richard Jolly said.

“It was a relief to see her go the way she did.

“I said to Jake to ride her where she was comfortable and not to worry if you are three wide, but have her where she can build momentum.

“She will definitely have another run, whether it be the Sires or keep her for the, I think it is called, David Coles.

“She will spell after that and get ready for the spring.

“I like to think she will get a mile. So, a race like the Thousand Guineas would be a target.”

A $27,000 purchase by Kestrel Thoroughbreds when offered by Aquis at the 2020 National Weanling Sale, See You In Heaven was consigned by Alexia Fraser Bloodstock to the 2021 Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale, where she was knocked down to Richard and Chantelle Jolly for $90,000.

See You In Heaven a $90,000 Magic Millions yearling

See You In heaven is the fifth winner from six to race out of the Melbourne winning Anabaa mare Shine On Anna.

Aquis Farm purchased Shine On Anna for $33,000 from Yarraman Park Stud draft at the 2018 Inglis Australian Broodmare Sale before selling her for just $6,000 on Inglis Digital two years later.

A daughter of the stakes-placed Machiavellian mare Shine On Me, Shine On Anna foaled a weanling colt by Cliff’s Edge and was covered by Toronado (IRE) last spring.

See You In Heaven comes from the second crop of Divine Prophet who stands at Aquis Stud for a fee of $16,500 (inc gst).
