First Winner for Tosen Stardom

A two time Group I winner in Australia, Woodside Park Stud’s Japanese bred Deep Impact son Tosen Stardom (Jpn) is on the board with his first winner after a debut victory on Monday for Shuriken.

Trained by Symon Wilde, the three year-old gelding was fancied to run well and forged clear to win the 1200m maiden by a length.
 

Bred by Noorilim Park Thoroughbreds, Shuriken runs for a big group of owners and is the fifth winner from Petroica, a half-sister by Anabaa (USA) to Mustaagel from Group II winner Frenetic.

He is the first winner for Tosen Stardom, who was an outstanding miler winning the Group I VRC Emirates Stakes and MRC Toorak Handicap.
