Thoroughbreds Are Go Returns For The Spring Of 2022

Breednet - Monday October 31

Monday night, Thoroughbreds Are Go returns with great information for racing owners looking to find new homes for their ex-racehorses as well as useful advice for people giving them a new life away from the track.

Ex-racehorse Piazza San Pietro thriving after racing. Currently in Melbourne at the Australian Jumping Championships.

The first show for the spring series features Kick Collective’s Vicky Leonard and “Kick Up” a new industry body seeking out actual facts about thoroughbred welfare to encourage racing fans to kick-up for our industry in the face of increased criticism from anti-racing campaigners.

Five-star eventer Lauren Browne shows off her two thoroughbreds with some great advice for anyone wanting to re-train an ex-racehorse for eventing competition and for other leisure purposes.

This season of five episodes will also include a beautiful story of some great matriarchs at Darley Woodlands as John Sunderland explains how to care for retired broodmares. They include the great-grandmother of this year’s Caulfield Guineas winner Golden Mile, Alizes and other blue-blooded ladies now living a life of leisure into their 20’s.

Alizes

Silverdale Farm features with half-siblings who have gone full circle and returned to their birthplace and Steve Grant discusses the great education Silverdale provides for young thoroughbred enthusiasts at the Silverdale Academy.
