First Five for Better Than Ready

Tara Madgwick - Tuesday December 13

Lyndhurst Stud’s Better than Ready has done some great things in his stud career to date and particularly in terms of his uncanny knack for producing an endless stream of fast precocious juveniles, but it was his three year-olds that gave him a unique achievement last Sunday.

The $50,000 Benchmark 65 event at the Sunshine Coast featured five runners by Better Than Ready and they finished in the first five placings with the red hot favourite Hidden Wealth taking the victory for the Tony Gollan stable.

A $110,000 Magic Millions Gold Coast March Yearling Sale from the Kynoch Thoroughbreds draft for Gollan Racing / John Foote Bloodstock, Hidden Wealth is very much a young horse on the up.

He won on debut in November and has now had three starts for two wins and a third with earnings topping $73,000.

Better Than Ready

Better than Ready is the leading Queensland based sire by winners (66) and earnings ($2.9million) so far this season and has eight entries for Magic Millions Book 1 and 16 for Book 2.
