*The average price for fillies and mares off the track at the Chairman’s Sale averaging $543,684 and the average price for pregnant mares at the Chairman’s Sale averaging $435,500

Significant early entries for the 2023 renewals of the Inglis Breeding Stock Sales are already flowing in.

Confirmed for The Chairman’s Sale is the three-time G1 placed sprinting mare Swats That (Shamus Award), mares in foal to the likes of American sire sensation Gun Runner and Champion European sire Frankel, as well as the likes of Extreme Choice, Home Affairs, Stay Inside etc.

The Australian Weanling Sale is again shaping as a superb catalogue, with Mike and Debbie O’Donnell’s Fairhill Farm to be strongly represented with weanlings by the likes of Farnan, Toronado, Deep Field, Street Boss, King’s Legacy etc.

The sale will be further boosted in 2023 by a 17-strong dispersal from Ashleigh Thoroughbreds, featuring a brother to G1-winning 2YO Captivant as well as weanlings by Ole Kirk, So You Think, Star Turn, Anders, King’s Legacy etc.

Inglis Bloodstock CEO Sebastian Hutch believes the momentum created in the past two years especially bodes well for a successful 2023 Inglis Breeding Stock Sales Series.

“This is a very important sequence of sales which were hugely successful for breeders in 2022 and promise to be better than ever this year,’’ Hutch said.

“Early indications for 2023 are exceptionally positive, we already have some world-class entries for The Chairman’s Sale, while the weanling and broodmare sales have also generated greater-than-usual early interest.

“We are ecstatic that the owners of Swats That have committed her to the sale and are very grateful for their support.

“Her best sprinting form is world-class and she will be one of the most desirable mares offered for sale in 2023, so it’s exciting that she will be offered at The Chairman’s Sale.

“To have a mare in foal to the freakish US stallion Gun Runner is also incredibly exciting, particularly given she is one of just a handful bred to Southern Hemisphere time.

“Gun Runner has made as good a start to his stud career as any stallion in living memory, with six G1 winners from his first crop in the US and a service fee now listed as ‘Private’ but rumoured to be US$300,000 (A$430,000) for those lucky enough to have access to him.’’

Places in the 2023 Chairman’s Sale are again limited, so interested parties are encouraged contact a member of the Inglis Bloodstock team to discuss your options.
