Russian Revolution's Sister and Vinny Breeding Right Join National Sale

Media Release - Monday May 15

The star studded supplementary catalogues for the Magic Millions National Weanling and Broodmare Sales have been finalised with more highlight lots set for the Gold Coast auction.

A lifetime breeding right to champion sire I Am Invincible is among the final group of supplementary lots in the Southern Hemisphere's number one breeding stock auction.

I Am Invincible

The breeding right entitles the owner to one nomination each calendar year to the Yarraman Park Stud based sire whose progeny are continually among the top selling lots around Australia.

I Am Invincible's outstanding results in 2023 were headlined by the Anaheed colt ($2.7 million), Booker colt ($2.5 million) and Flippant filly ($2 million) - three of the top four sellers on the Gold Coast in January and indeed the whole of Australasia this year.

This season I Am Invincible is standing at a fee of $302,500 (inc GST).

Continuing the I Am Invincible flavour is another late supplementary lot, the blue blooded Snitzel filly Ballet De Joie.

Unraced and just a three-year-old, Ballet De Joie is a full sister to multiple Group One winner and hot young sire Russian Revolution.

She is also a half sister to Miss Interiors, the dam of two stakes winners headlined by sizzling sprinter Home Affairs (I Am Invincible).

Ballet De Joie heads to the Gold Coast carrying an extremely close relation to Home Affairs, being in foal to I Am Invincible.

Group winning juvenile Miss Roseiano has also joined the supplementary catalogue and is yet another outstanding young prospect.

A winner of the Group Three Blue Diamond Preview on debut, when she led throughout in a powerful on speed performance, she is a daughter of Exceed and Excel from a from a stakes performed Pins mare.

Her third dam is none other than Diamond Lover. It's a top selling family and Miss Roseiano's half sister sold for $1.1 million as a yearling this year.

Stallion shares in the recently retired multiple Group One winner Jacquinot and Extreme Choice's group winning son Extreme Warrior will also go under the hammer.

A total of 27 race fillies and 12 broodmares feature in the supplementary catalogue for the 2023 National Broodmare Sale, starting on May 23.

Before that the focus is on the Southern Hemisphere's undisputed leading sale of its type, the National Weanling Sale, which commences this Thursday.

The final supplementary for the weanlings includes five lots by sires Anders, Deep Field, Frankel and Prague as well as a Hanseatic half brother to Group One winner Bella Vella.

The National Sale will also feature the previously announced Edinburgh Park Unreserved Dispersal of weanlings and broodmares.

The Edinburgh Park weanlings will be offered at the end of Day One of the National Weanling Sale on Thursday (May 18). Their broodmare draft will be offered following the race filly and maiden mare supplementary on Day One of the National Broodmare Sale on May 23.

Coolangatta's dam Piping Hot, one of the highlights of the supplementary, will also be offered as Lot 676 late on Day One of the National Broodmare Sale.
