Bayliss pleaded guilty to causing interference aboard the $2.10 favourite Saddle The Sun in winning the fourth race, the Benchmark 64 handicap over 1200m.

Saddle The Sun raced close to the heels of Patient then shifted out abruptly near the 300m when there was no room between Patient and Invincible Joy. The shift took Invincible Joy out onto Theycallmethehoff, which was bumped and became unbalanced while Invincible Joy was severely hampered.

Bayliss was suspended for 14 meetings to commence at midnight on October 15 and expire at midnight on October 27.

Daniel Stackhouse also left the course with a suspension after pleading guilty to causing interference on Go Gracey in the sixth race, the benchmark 70 handicap over 1400m.

Diamond Baroness lost its place and had to be steadied when Go Gracey shifted in near the 150m.

Stackhouse was suspended for eight meetings, to commence at midnight on October 16 and expire at midnight on October 23.
