Quality Collingrove Weanlings an Inglis Great Southern Highlight

Sales action continues in Victoria later this week (June 8 & 9) with the Inglis Great Southern Sale to feature a quality draft of weanlings from Collingrove Stud that includes the half-sister to exciting Hong Kong sprinter Victor the Winner, who chased home Lucky Sweynesse in the Group III Sha Tin Vase on Sunday.

A $180,000 Inglis Premier purchase from Collingrove Stud for Golden River Investments / Mr Chu, four year-old Toronado (IRE) gelding Victor the Winner is a star on the rise for his trainer for Danny Shum in Hong Kong, where he has five wins and a second from just eight starts.

Tested in stakes company for the first time on Sunday, Victor the Winner defeated all bar Hong Kong’s best sprinter Lucky Sweynesse when finishing a gallant second to confirm his potential for a lot better races.

Collingrove Stud will present a draft of 10 weanlings with Lot 326 the half-sister by I Am Immortal to Victor the Winner from top producer Noetic, a stakes-placed daughter of Cape Cross (IRE) from an international Black Type family.

Noetic has had five foals to race for three winners including her smart current season two year-old Shadow Fear (Sioux Nation (USA), a two time metro winner in Perth and fourth in a Listed race at Flemington. A fast Group winning son of I Am Invincible, I Am Immortal has had his first yearlings sell this year for up to $150,000 and this lovely filly will have plenty of admirers.
