July (Early) Sale jammed with top quality prospects - Open for Bidding

Media Release - Friday July 7

Another exceptionally strong and diverse catalogue of 433 lots has been finalised for the Inglis Digital July (Early) Sale, which is now open for bidding.

While the sale will be headlined by the previously announced and hugely desirable mares Another Award (Shamus Award) and She’s All Class (pictured, I Am Invincible) – both being offered as racing and breeding prospects - the depth of quality in the catalogue overall is extreme.

Stakes winners Charmmebaby (Charm Spirit) and Majestic Shot (Shooting To Win) are two other top class mares that are being offered as racing and breeding prospects.

Charmmebaby is a two-time black type victor who most recently contested the G1 Tatt’s Tiara at Eagle Farm a fortnight ago while Majestic Shot is a Stakes winner during the recent Brisbane Winter Carnival.

On that occasion in the Listed Bright Shadow Stakes, Majestic Shot defeated the likes of Comrade Rosa, Cythera, Sneaky Five, A Very Fine Red, Hellfest, Je Suis Belle etc.

There are also some significant unreserved reduction drafts in the July (Early) Sale, highlighted by Godolphin and Contract/Hesket.

Godolphin will offer 26 lots – racehorses, race fillies and broodmares – highlighted by two-time G2 winner and last start Stakes winner Character (Teofilo).

Character has won at Stakes level at two of his past three starts, making him a lucrative racing prospect for any trainer or syndicator in Australia or New Zealand.

The Contract/Hesket draft of 38 breeding and racing stock deserves considerable attention from buyers, given their record of offering top-quality producers in the past.

Watch Your Step – the dam of boom undefeated 2YO Steparty – Captivant’s dam Speedboat and Blessit (the dam of three-time Stakes placed mare Bless Her) have each sold in previous Contract/Hesket reductions for $13,000, $30,000 and $5000 respectively.

They have also sold the dams of stallions Headwater and Eurozone – as well as the grand dam of G1 winner Zougotcha – in previous reduction sales.

Another exciting entry is a Wootton Bassett x Elegant d’Oro weanling filly, offered on behalf of Bhima Thoroughbreds.

Wootton Bassett has had nine 2YO winners – including three Stakes winners – from just 15 runners from his current 2YO crop.

In total, the July (Early) Sale catalogue of 433 consists of 190 racehorses (94 race fillies), 160 broodmares, 44 racehorse shares, 21 weanlings and 18 yearlings.
