Early Signs Positive for Contrail

Mark Smith - Tuesday July 11

The first crop of the champion Contrail (JPN) has created enormous interest at the JRHA Select Foal Sale, and the Triple Crown-winning son of Deep Impact is living up to the hype.

His first four foals through the ring sold for  ¥170 million (twice), ¥72 million, before Shinji Maeda had the ring buzzing with a final bid of ¥330 million (A$3,469,000) for Grand Stud’s colt out of the Galileo mare Bye Baby Baby (IRE).
