New Appointment at Middlebrook Valley Lodge

Media Release - Thursday August 3

Middlebrook Valley Lodge is delighted to announce that respected industry professional Bernie Kane, has been appointed to the newly created position of Sales & Bloodstock Manager with the farm.

Bernie Kane is joining Middlebrook Valley Lodge.

“Bernie brings over 25 years industry experience to the role, and the team is really looking forward to having him on board to drive that part of business” said Operations Manager Alex Scott.

“We conducted a thorough search to ensure we found the right person, and the management team are certain that Bernie is the perfect fit for the job,” continued Scott

“Whilst Bernie will work alongside the established team on the farm including Stud Manager Jenna Cochrane, who has been an integral part of the team here for over 13 years, it’s the business development and client liaison aspects that Bernie will concentrate on.”

“I’m delighted that this opportunity has presented itself to me,” said Kane. “Getting the chance to work at such an established farm, that has enjoyed lasting success over a lot of years, is something I’m really looking forward to.

“As part of the role, I’ll be working alongside clients covering all aspects of their bloodstock management including matings advice and breeding stock purchasing, sale placement of stock, analysing and planning of portfolios, you name it-we’ll cover it together. The other aspect that I’ll really focus on, is communication. Client communication will be a key focus of the team here at Middlebrook, and while we’ll play our part in our client’s success, we want the client to enjoy the journey and experience every part of it along the way."

Middlebrook Valley Lodge is a name associated with great service to clients and great results.

“One thing that will continue at Middlebrook, is that the systems and structures that are already in place, will remain. The vets, the farriers, the feed suppliers, all those core services that have played such a big part of the continued success of the farm, will remain in place as we move forward,” Kane said.

“We’ll adapt things with the way we communicate with clients, and our social media presence will increase, but other than that it’ll be business as usual. We currently have room for horses of all ages, including mares, yearlings and spellers, and the whole team is looking forward to working with our clients to give them and their horses the best chance of success both in the sales ring and on the track.

“I’m really looking forward to joining the team officially on Monday 14th August, but I’m more than happy to chat to anyone that wants to give me a call in the meantime, to discuss their needs leading into the upcoming breeding season, and the subsequent sales season following that.”
