Peter and Paul Snowden's association with Browne traces back to their days at Darley before they left Sheik Mohammed's empire in 2014 to establish an independent training partnership.

The stable-jockey combination has yielded several wins during carnival time, most notably back-to-back Blue Diamond Stakes' in 2014 and 2015.

While the opening race on Saturday doesn't come near the stature of a Blue Diamond Stakes, a promising juvenile in Legislation was unearthed.

Lindsay Park Racing's Alshahhad ($3.80 fav) and the Chris Waller-trained Fiesta ($4.40) held the majority of money on the race but neither threatened Legislation ($9) in the run home finishing fourth and second respectively.

The winning margin was a length while Godolphin's Gododdin ($6) finished another 2-1/4 lengths back in third.

"I have to say, after his second trial at Warwick Farm, he really picked up," Paul Snowden said.

"His work here on Tuesday morning really impressed us.

"He'd never been on this sort of surface before so it was good to see him get through it and win quite softly in the end.

"He seems to get stronger and stronger and goes through his gears nice and easy, so I think he's one to watch for the future."

Legislation's victory continues a gala run for his sire Not A Single Doubt, who produced the Group I Caulfield Guineas winner Mighty Boss and three other stakes winners last Saturday.
