Alabama Express Filly Poster Girl Stuns on Debut

Mark Smith - Saturday November 18

Chalk up winner number three for Yulong’s hot, young first-season sire Alabama Express after the Chris Munce-trained Poster Girl made a stunning debut over 1000m at the Sunshine Coast on Saturday.

Punters were on good terms when the heavily backed favourite Barbie's Sister (you guessed it, a sister to Outback Barbie) was being hailed the winner at the 200m before Poster Girl launched hard up against the rail for Robbie Dolan.

l not in the call at the 100m, Poster Girl finished so fast she put a neck on the Spirit of Boom filly on the line with the Sidestep filly  Mishani Express back in third.

“She’s a very nice filly. She galloped on Monday morning, and I could not have been more pleased with her work,” Munce said.

“I said to the boys at the sale that they would want to be good to beat her on Saturday.
“I was a bit worried when she was back that far, but I knew she had a great turn of foot. She is a bloody nice filly.
