Sebring Sun Secret No More

Tara Madgwick - Thursday November 23

It’s been a good year for Glenthorne Park Stud’s progressive young sire Sebring Sun and it’s not over yet with a couple of key runners engaged for the big stand alone meeting at Kembla this Saturday.

A stakes-winning son of Golden Slipper winning sire Sebring, Sebring Sun has had to make his own way at stud covering small books of mares at a $3,300 fee and with a steady stream of winners his success has not gone unnoticed.

This year, Sebring Sun has sired 12 winners from 23 runners and two of those winners Accapella Sun and Sammiballerina have accepted for Kembla.

Sammiballerina has drawn ideally in gate three for the 1400m Class Three event and is well in the market with Regan Bayliss to ride, while Accapella Sun runs in the Benchmark 78 event over 1000m.

The Matthew Dale trained mare is second up from a spell following a super successful campaign earlier this year when she won and placed consistently in a string of Highway races boosting her prizemoney in excess of $200,000.
