First Season Sires Unraced Trial Report

Tara Madgwick - Tuesday November 28

November is nearly at an end and for young first season sires looking to post a winner in December you would nearly need to have progeny seen out at the trials right about now, so let’s take a look at who has ammo in the locker.

Too Darn Hot (GB) has had five trial runners in November.

Alabama Express and Tassort have become the big watch horses following their flying starts to the season with three winners each and both have had horses at the trials this month.

Peter and Paul Snowden produced two youngsters by Alabama Express in Ghost Ranch and Step Quick, both owned by Yulong and while the latter has gone for a spell Ghost Ranch appears to still be in work.

High profile shuttler Too Darn Hot (GB) did some great things with his first Northern Hemisphere crop and with five trial runners this month it seems trainers are starting to test them out a bit, but you would still tend to think he’s going to be more of a sire to make his mark in the latter autumn and beyond.

Yes Yes Yes has also had five trial runners in November, so looks poised for some action.
