Juvenile Trial Watch – Warwick Farm

Tara Madgwick - Friday December 22

There were four heats over 813m for juveniles at Warwick Farm on Friday with winners that included a blueblood I Am Invincible colt and the most expensive Australian yearling by Too Darn Hot (GB) sold this year.

Trained by Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott, Too Darn Hot filly Too Darn Lizzie was a showstopper at the Gold Coast when selling for $1million to McKeever Bloodstock/Watership Down/Gai Waterhouse & Adrian Bott Racing and she ran up to her good looks in this first public outing.

Carrying the colours of Lord Andrew Lloyd Webber, who bred and raced her sire, Too Darn Lizzie showed abundant natural talent to cross and lead from an outside gate and led all the way to win by four lengths in 48.26 seconds, the quickest of the juvenile heats.

Consigned by Vinery Stud, Too Darn Lizzie is the second foal of Group II MRC Blue Diamond Prelude winner Enbihaar, who was also second in the Group I MRC Blue Diamond Stakes. Her third foal is a yearling colt by I Am Invincible that will be offered by Kulani Park at Magic Millions as Lot 632.

Enbihaar fetched $1million at Magic Millions to be the highest priced first crop yearling in Australia for Too Darn Hot

The Annabel Neasham trained I Am Invincible colt Innervisions lined up in a star studded heat against some blue blood colts including Dawn Service (Justify (USA) the first foal of Sunlight and Bosustow (Blue Point (IRE) the half-brother to Amelia’s Jewel. He showed good improvement from his first trial outing back at the start of spring, stalking the leader Dawn Service and surging past him to win by the best part of a length over Huka Falls with Bosustow a good fourth.

Innervisions was a $700,000 Magic Millions purchase.

Innervisions was a $700,000 Magic Millions purchase from Kia Ora Stud for TFI/Annabel Neasham Racing/Dermot Farrington Bloodstock and is from stakes-winning Snitzel mare Modern Wonder, a full sister to Champion 2YO Filly and multiple Group winner Away Game, a winner of $3.7million.

Additional trial winners were: Ride the River (2g Headwater) and Runranirun (2f Press Statement).
