Great First Day for Crossley Thoroughbreds

Tara Madgwick - Sunday March 3

It’s been an exciting week for first time Inglis Premier vendor Mitch Pearce with Crossley Thoroughbreds presenting a lovely draft of yearlings, but the real proof of the pudding comes in the sale ring and day one was a ripper.

Crossley Thoroughbreds offered five yearlings and sold them all with Toronado (IRE) providing the highlights.

$380,000 Toronado (IRE) colt from Allez sur le Gris.

Top seller at $380,000 was the only grey Toronado in the sale, a colt from Allex sur le Gris that was purchased by Hong Kong based Upper Bloodstock, while a lovely Toronado filly from Algadon Miss made $340,000 when bought by Matt Laurie Racing / Wilannah Park Bloodstock.
