Ridden by Mark Zahra for Ben, Will, and JD Hayes, Bold Bastille was being eased down to defeat, the I Am Immortal filly Immortal Star by one and three-quarter lengths with the Yes Yes Yes filly Yes Lulu a nose back in third.

After missing the Blue Diamond after a setback, the Listed VRC Furphy Plate and Inglis Banner winner advances her record to three wins from four starts with earnings of $518,000.

At her most recent start, Bold Bastille defeated Drifting in the Listed Furphy Plate and Ben Hayes was buoyed by the win of Drifting in the Magic Night Stakes at Rosehill.

"What we liked the most is how she ran out the 1100 today, Ben Hayes said.

"She did get pressured early, and she responded to Mark's urgings and won quite easily again on the line, which was really pleasing.

"We now have to make a decision on what we do with her. We're going to have a nice discussion with the owners over the next 24-48 hours and decide what we will do."

"It’s (the Golden Slipper) is possible. There’s also the Percy Sykes. Off that win today I don’t think I’d hesitate to go to 1200, and with the form being franked in Sydney today with Drifting winning, it gives you a lot of confidence.

“The team is always super-important behind the scenes. Will, JD and I are the faces, but we’ve got a whole team behind us. Everyone does a great job.

“She got a little sickness at the wrong time, we had to back off her, then we had one trial into that run (in Blue Diamond Prelude) because we still wanted to get to the Blue Diamond and obviously, it didn’t work out but since then she’s been great.

“She’s trained on beautifully and it’s a credit to the whole team at Lindsay Park. That’s the results we’re getting. Very happy trainers.”

A $270,000 purchase for Lindsay Park Racing / Group 1 Bloodstock (FBAA) from the Blue Gum Farm draft at the Inglis Premier Yearling Sale, Bold Bastille is the third winner from five to race for the Exceed And Excel mare Chloe In Paris.

Bold Bastille a $270,000 Inglis Premier yearling

The winner of the Listed VRC Bob Hoysted Handicap, Chloe In Paris is a half-sister to Ideas Man (Brazen Beau) and Charleston Dancer (Lonhro), the dam of She Dances (Street Boss), who, besides her win the Chautauqua Stakes, captured the Group III Northwood Plume Stakes.

This family has clicked with Brazen Beau as Chloe In Paris’ half-sister Original Choice (Redoute's Choice), is the dam of Listed winner and VRC Sires’ Produce Stakes runner-up Larimer Street (Brazen Beau).

A daughter of Des Pope’s top-class Rubiton mare Innovation Girl, Chloe In Paris has a yearling brother to Bold Bastille, which was withdrawn from the Inglis Premier Yearling Sale.

After missing in 2022, Chloe In Paris was covered by Anamoe in September.
