Debut Winner for Yes Yes Yes

Tara Madgwick - Wednesday March 20

Everest hero Yes Yes Yes has sired three stakes horses in Yes Lulu, Flattered and Nymphadora and broke through with his first winner at Belmont on Wednesday when the aptly named Want a Winner saluted on debut.

Trained by Sean and Jake Casey, Want a Winner put the writing on the wall winning two recent barrier trials and produced a similar performance on race day.

He hit the front after turning for home and was strong to the line, kicking on to take the 1200m contest by the best part of a length.

Want a Winner was an $85,000 Magic Millions National Weanling Sale purchase from Newhaven Park for Hancock Quality Bloodstock and is the first winner for Ridicule, a metro winning So You Think mare from Group I winner Russeting.

Yes Yes Yes has a number of promising juveniles starting to show up at the trials so Want a Winner could well be the first of a flurry of winners and he has three entries for Inglis Easter.
