Winner in Japan for Lumosty

Mark Smith - Sunday June 9

After five seconds, a third and a fourth at his first seven starts, Bear Go Go shed his maiden tag with a two and half-length romp over 1200m at Hakodate on Sunday and credited the classy Fastnet Rock mare Lumosty with her first winner.

The 3-year-old son of Lord Kanaloa is the third foal and second runner for Lumosty.

A $185,000 Inglis Easter yearling Lumosty banked over $480,000 with five wins highlighted by the Group II MVRC Moonee Valley Classic and Group II MRC Caulfield Sprint and was Group 1 placed for the late Phil Sly and Katsumi Yoshida.

Her dam Luminous Eyes (IRE) was a Group III winner in Ireland. The daughter of Bachelor Duke (USA) had a much-admired Justify (USA) colt sell to Watership Down / McKeever Bloodstock for $550,000 when consigned by Willow Park Stud to the 2024 Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale.

Lumosty has a 2-year-old filly by the exciting Kitasan Black.
