Ridden by Zac Lloyd for Ciaron Maher, Perspiration displayed an electric turn of foot, but the Listed Rosebud winner Gatsby's was in for the fight.

Perspiration edged the Snitzel colt, with the $800,000 I Am Invincible colt Ikasara back in third.

After finishing second at his first two starts at Randwick and Caulfield, Perspiration made a one-act affair of Mornington Sires (1100m) on April 20 before coming off a 19-week break to finish sixth behind Storm Boy in the Group III San Domenico Stakes at Randwick.

The 3-year-old son of Too Darn Hot (GB) advances his record to two wins and two seconds from five starts with earnings of $255,350.

A $270,000 purchase for Ciaron Maher Bloodstock/Group 1 Bloodstock from the Rosari Farm draft at the 2023 Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale, Perspiration is a half-brother to The Reluctant Star (Epaulette), who was sold to Hong Kong after winning his first two races at Geelong and Flemington.

The daughter of Casino Prince has not had a foal in two seasons before foaling a sister to  Perspiration on August 14.

Perspiration is the 14th stakes-winner for last season’s champion first-season sire Too Darn Hot (GB).
