Dirty Work 2YO Wins Magic Millions Perth 2YO Classic

Tara Madgwick - Sunday February 16

Widden Stud’s young Written Tycoon stallion Dirty Work is on the board with his first stakes-winner after speedy gelding Do I Feel Lucky captured the $250,000 Magic Millions Perth 2YO Classic RL (1200m) at Pinjarra on Saturday and his half-sister will be offered at MM Perth on Thursday.

With two seconds and a win from his three previous starts, the Sean and Jake Casey trained Do I Feel Lucky had race fitness and experience on his side which he put to good use.

He kicked right away after turning for home under Chris Parnham and had just enough left to hold off Pierata filly Perfectly Proper to win by a head with race favourite Strideaway, who beat Do I Feel Lucky the start before, in third place.

Do I Feel Lucky was a $100,000 Magic Millions Perth purchase from the Mogumber Park draft for Maureen Daly and has won $241,700 with two wins and two seconds from four starts. He is the first foal of Mindarie, a metro winning half-sister by Safeguard to stakes-placed Royal Strata, Specialism and More Special.

Half-sister by Rommel to Do I Feel Lucky to be offered at MM Perth.

Mogumber Park will offer the yearling half-sister by Rommel to Do I Feel Lucky as Lot 84 at Magic Millions Perth.

Do I Feel Lucky becomes the first stakes-winner for Group II winning sprinter Dirty Work, who started his career as a Spendthrift stallion before being relocated to Widden Stud Victoria. He has three for MM Perth and 15 entries for Inglis Premier .
