The auction that leads all industry benchmarks in delivering owners the biggest returns and the best buying benches will take place from May 25 at Australia’s holiday playground.

NATIONAL WEANLING SALE
(25-26 May)

Consistently Australasia's number one weanling sale by all metrics, the National Weanling Sale boasted the best clearance rate for weanlings up to $50,000 in 2024.

Over the past three years the sale has achieved an elite average of $80,000 - $20,000 more than the nearest competitor. Last year 65 lots sold for $100,000 or more - 57% more than any other weanling sale - with an $800,000 top price.

In 2024 the sale had 157 individual buyers from USA, UK, Japan, South Africa, China, New Zealand, Philippines and across Australia.

NATIONAL BROODMARE SALE
(27-29 May)

In 2024 the National Broodmare Sale was supported by over 200 individual buyers and a new Southern Hemisphere record price of $6.6 million was achieved.

The racefillies session in 2024 experienced a 20 per cent growth in aggregate with $52.4 million changing hands. Since 2020 Group One winners have averaged $650,000 more than the nearest competitor making the Gold Coast the clear market leader.

Pregnant mares are always well sought after, with a top price of $1.8 million in 2024. There were six times more seven figure sellers than the nearest competitor. The top 20 broodmares averaged $842,750 - $373,000 more than elsewhere.

NATIONAL YEARLING SALE
(3-4 June)

Each year the Gold Coast National Yearling Sale boasts a solid buying bench - over the past four years over $50 million of yearlings have been traded.

The $20 million plus world best Magic Millions Race Series has buyers looking for that extra incentive and advantage. In 2024 the sale recorded a $400,000 top price and average for the top 50 lots of $104,130.

Some 16 vendors boasted 100 per cent clearance and 25 per cent of all horses sold were snapped up by international clients. This sale boasts a proven history of producing pin-hook stars and Group One winners alike.

"The Gold Coast National Sale is the most successful breeding stock sale in the Southern Hemisphere and we are proud to announce that entries are open for weanlings, racefillies, broodmares and yearlings for 2025," Magic Millions Managing Director Barry Bowditch said.

"Each and every year the sale confirms its status as one of the world's most important with buyers coming from all corners of the globe to compete for quality thoroughbreds across all sections of the auction and all levels of the market."

"The Gold Coast National has been where so many Group One stories have begun. From future elite winning weanlings to mares carrying subsequent champions or yearlings who were future Golden Slipper or Derby winners!"

"We have a straight forward and transparent commission structure that consistently delivers the best buying bench - you can trust the Magic Millions sales approach."

"As well as being ideally placed ahead of the breeding season, the Magic Millions National Sale Series coincides with the famous Queensland Racing Carnival."

Entries for the 2025 Magic Millions Gold Coast National Sale close on Friday 21 March.
