Yulong Purchase Two UK Based Stallions

Yulong have been making news overnight in Europe with the announcement of their purchase of two Dullingham Park based stallions in Shaquille and Soldier's Call from Steve Parkin's Clipper Logistics.

The pair are expected to remain at Dullingham Park in Newmarket with no confirmation whether Yulong had purchased the stud as well.

Yulong Investments' European representative Paul Curran said in a statement, “We are absolutely thrilled to welcome Shaquille and Soldier's Call into the Yulong fold. Yulong Investments is deeply passionate about breeding elite racehorses and spares no effort in ensuring its stallions are positioned for greatness. These two exceptional sires will be supported by an elite broodmare band, giving them every opportunity to succeed and leave an enduring mark on future bloodlines. This is not just about adding stallions to our roster; it is about securing a legacy—one that will be felt for generations.”

Shaquille

The 2023 Champion 3YO Sprinter with G1 wins in the Newmarket July Cup and Royal Ascot Commonwealth Cup, Shaquille is the best son of Charm Spirit and has his first foals being born this year. He stands at a fee of 15,000 pounds.

Soldier's Call

The Champion French 2YO Colt in 2018, Soldier’s Call was a multiple Group winner and Group I placed and is by Showcasing. His oldest progeny have just turned four and he has 87 winners highlighted by one SW the Group III winner Dawn Charger. He stands at a fee of 6,000 pounds.

Dullingham Park is believed to also be on the market, with both Yulong and Amo Racing mentioned as possible buyers, but the release from Yulong on Friday related only to the stallions.
