Twin Hills Inglis Easter Trio of Colts

Twin Hills Stud near Cootamundra on the South West Slopes of NSW is a long way from the Hunter Valley, but Olly Tait knows good horse country and recent results for horses bred and raised on this farm back up his judgment with Saturday stakes-winner Aviatress and exciting two year-old winner Prestige Ole both starting life at Twin Hills.

A homebred for Price Bloodstock sired by the Twin Hills stalwart Smart Missile, Aviatress has won six of 12 starts for the Richard and Chantelle Jolly stable and after winning the Listed SAJC Matrice Stakes on Saturday is on track for Group I target races such as the Robert Sangster Stakes and Goodwood Handicap.

Prestige Ole was there to be bought at Inglis Easter last year and is now a metro winner going places!

Two year-old Ole Kirk colt Prestige Ole made it two wins from three starts when taking out the $175,000 VRC VOBIS Gold Plate (1400m) at Flemington for David Brideoake & Matt Jenkins.

Prestige Ole was foaled and raised at Twin Hills Stud for his breeder Leo To and was passed in at Inglis Easter last year before Twin Hills Stud were able to sell him through the 2024 Inglis Digital Online April (late) Sale to Eric Yeung for $70,000.

The Inglis Easter draft for Twin Hills this year is small and select with just three cracking colts to consider and comments from Olly Tait.

Lot 59 Colt Too Darn Hot (GB) x Million, by Epaulette

By the current leading second crop sire Too Darn Hot and is the first foal of Group III placed Million, a daughter of stakes-placed Warrior Girl from the family of Group winners Chettak, Heroism and Jar Jar Binks.

This is a big, strong colt that is well balanced and covers a lot of ground when he moves. He is quite masculine. His sire is a phenomenon. A Champion racehorse who is a champion sire in waiting.

Lot 177 Colt Bivouac x Something Silver, by Medaglia D’Oro (USA)

From the second crop of Champion 3YO Sprinter Bivouac, who has now sired three SW’s – Beiwacht, Intention and Luana Miss. Third foal of six time metro winning grand-daughter of Group III winner Shelbourne Lass. His two-year-old half-brother by Deep Field was sold to Andrew Williams / Jamie Richards for $240,000 at the 2024 Inglis Easter sale.

A very stylish colt who has great balance and moves beautifully. Bivouac’s first two-year-olds have impressed and include a high-quality colt, the G2 Silver Slipper winner Beiwacht. He is out of a good race mare who is producing lovely foals.

Lot 208 Colt Toronado (IRE) x Take a Selfie, by Time Thief

By top class sire Toronado (IRE), this is a colt from Neville Begg’s outstanding Yau Chin family and he comes with a couple of big pedigree updates! This colt is a full brother to the promising Grahame Begg trained 3YO filly Perfect Picture, who was fourth in the Group II MRC Angus Armanasco Stakes at just her third start to Treasurethe Moment. The family has also produced a new SW with Written Tycoon colt Royal Insignia winning the Group III MRC Manfred Stakes and he too is trained by Grahame Begg.

This is an exceptional colt. He has so much class and physically, he is hard to fault. He is from a brilliant family that has emerged from the wonderful mare Yau Chin. He’s a stunner.
