Yarraman Inglis Easter – All Eyes on Kindergarten Stakes

Sponsored Content - by Tara Madgwick - Thursday April 3

Yarraman Park is home to the mighty I Am Invincible and as usual their draft for Inglis Easter features plenty of his offspring and this year is no different with eight among the 15 strong consignment sired by Australia’s reigning champion stallion and one of them has the potential for a big pedigree update at The Championships on Saturday.

Lot 70 is the first of the Yarraman Park consigned I Am Invincible’s to be offered and is as good a filly by her sire as you would wish to see.

Lot 70

She is the second foal of Group III winning Smart Missile mare Missile Mantra, who was also second in the Group I MRC Thousand Guineas. Missile Mantra was purchased for $950,000 from the 2022 Magic Millions National Broodmare Sale off the track and since then her half-sister Makarena has burst on to the scene winning the Group II ATC Golden Pendant as well as racking up multiple Group placings adding even further to her appeal.

The first foal from Missile Mantra is two year-old Capitalist colt Missile Magnate. He has shown good potential with a second and then a win at his first two starts with Annabel Neasham and Rob Archibald set to run him on Saturday in the Group III ATC Kindergarten Stakes (1100m)

The Kindergarten Stakes has also been chosen as a stepping off point for a couple of blueblood Yarraman Park bred I Am Invincible fillies in Sylph and Thalestris, both looking to make their debut after showing promise at the trials.

The Michael Freedman trained Sylph was retained to race by Yarraman Park and is the half-sister to Group I winner Booker and stakes-winner Banquo from good producer Noondie.

Thalestris was sold at Inglis Easter last year by Yarraman for $1.8million to Hilldene Farm and is trained by Anthony and Sam Freedman. She is the third foal of royally bred Pierro mare Notting Hill, a winning half-sister to Group III winner Percious Lorraine and stakes-winner Lucky Raquie from the Monsoon Wedding branch of the Shantha’s Choice family.

The fourth foal from Notting Hill is in the Yarraman draft this year and she is a glorious filly by Golden Slipper winner Stay Inside that will be offered as Lot 89.

This female family tracing back to Dancing Show (USA) has been in rare form in recent weeks producing Group I ATC Golden Slipper winner Marhoona and Group I MVRC William Reid Stakes winner Schwarz.
