Yes Yes Yes It’s Been a Big Week for Kate Nivison!

Tara Madgwick - Tuesday April 15

This time last week passionate owner breeder Kate Nivison was basking in the success of having bred and sold a $1.7million Extreme Choice colt at Inglis Easter and today she was enjoying a different sort of success as a winning owner at Kembla.

Trained by Jason Attard and Lucy Keegan-Attard, three year-old Yes Yes Yes filly Oui Oui Oui was bred by Kate Nivison and retained to race when passing in shy of her $150,000 reserve at Inglis Classic.

Oui Oui Oui was fourth at her only previous start at Kembla last November and was first up from a spell in the 1200m maiden with a recent trial win under her belt and Tom Sherry to ride.

Our Oui Oui produced a brilliant finish from back in the field, charging to the line to win by a long neck over runner-up Me Me…. to the great delight of race caller Luke Marlowe.. do listen to the race call!

Oui Oui Oui is the fourth winner from five foals to race from Buon Auspicio, a metro winning Bernardini (USA) mare from one of the great old female families cultivated by Kate Nivison’s family for many years.

Buon Auspicio is a grand-daughter of stakes-winner Vionnet, the dam of stakes-winners Cheverny, Fashion News, Academe and Vionneto, with the tail female line going all the way back to revered blue hen Dark Jewel.

$1.7million Extreme Choice colt bred by Kate Nivison and sold in the Coolmore draft.

Buon Auspicio was retired last year and Kate Nivison has added new mares to her portfolio including Medaglia D’Oro (USA) mare Shadow, who is the dam of this season’s exciting two year-old Apocalyptic and the stunning grey colt by Extreme Choice that sold in the Coolmore draft at Inglis Easter for $1.7million to Chris Waller Racing / Mulcaster Bloodstock / B2B Thoroughbreds.

The glamour colt carries the same brand as today’s winner Oui Oui Oui and his dam Shadow is now in foal to Pierro.
