Darley Announce 2025 Fees

Tara Madgwick - Tuesday April 22

Darley have announced fees on their powerful roster of 14 stallions split between NSW and Victoria with Broadsiding set to join the team at Kelvinside in the Hunter Valley at a fee of $66,000.

Broadsiding retires at a fee of $66,000.

Too Darn Hot, who has made the strongest start to a stud career this century, heads the roster at $275,000 as previously announced and will be joined by his champion son Broadsiding.

A four-time G1 winner that was Champion 2YO and then won the Group I Golden Rose and Rosehill Guineas at three, Broadsiding is the best son of Too Darn Hot in Australia.

Anamoe will have his first weanlings selling next month.

Anamoe, nine-time G1 winner and Horse of the Year, has had a slight fee reduction and will drop to $110,000. A G1 winner at two, three and four, Anamoe has garnered great support since retiring to stud, covering 19 G1 winners, 82 Group winners, and 127 Stakes winners along with the dams of 18 G1 winners in his first two books. His first crop, now weanlings, are the talk of the Hunter Valley.

Street Boss (USA) will be back in Australia this spring and two of his sons - Anamoe and Traffic Warden- are also on the roster.

Darley’s roster draws further strength from the remarkable Street Cry sire line, with Anamoe’s sire Street Boss standing at $66,000 in Victoria.

Street Boss is enjoying another banner season headlined by recent G2 Percy Sykes winner Tempted and his top class son Traffic Warden will also head to stud this spring.

Traffic Warden will stand at $22,000 in NSW and this eye-catching colt was a G2 winner at two and three and was defeated by a short head and a head in the G1 Sires’ Produce Stakes and G1 Golden Rose respectively.

Harry Angel (IRE) has had his fee increased to $66,000.

Harry Angel has earned a fee increase and rises to $66,000. A World Champion Sprinter and the leading third-crop sire in the country, Harry Angel is the youngest stallion in the top 10 of the General Sires Table and one of the most sought-after stallions in the country right now with a pair of Group I winners this season in Tom Kitten and Private Harry.

“This is an outstanding group of stallions - a world-class line-up,” said Darley’s Head of Stallions, Alastair Pulford.

“The results they’ve achieved this year, both in the yearling market and on the racetrack, have been incredibly encouraging. These fees reflect the success we've seen and have been set with breeders firmly in mind.”
