Capitalist 2YO Wins for Doyle

Tara Madgwick - Tuesday June 24

Nathan Doyle and his team would be bubbling with excitement surrounding the return of their unbeaten G1 star Private Harry, but as they say ‘little fish are sweet’ and the stable were in the winner’s circle at Wyong on Tuesday with a two year-old son of Capitalist.

Second on debut at Newcastle earlier this month, Divo was heavily backed as an odds on favourite for the 1100m open maiden and justified the confidence of punters.

Divo was given a positive ride by Benjamin Osmond to take the lead and stayed there and despite racing greenly at the finish had too much on his rivals and score by a length to the delight of his connections.
