2025 NZB Ready to Run Catalogue Online - World’s Most Successful 2YO Sale

The catalogue for the 2025 edition of the leading sale of two-year-olds is now online and in mailboxes, with NZB excited to unveil another stellar offering at the Ready to Run Sale.

Showcasing both quality and quantity, an exceptional selection of 480 youngsters will go through the Karaka sale ring on Wednesday 12 and Thursday 13 November. Boasting the right pedigrees, physiques and sale preparations, these two-year-olds follow in the footsteps of the incredible Ready to Run Sale roll of honour that has gone before them.

Known as the source of Hong Kong superstars Lucky Sweynesse (NZ) (Sweynesse) and Golden Sixty (Medaglia d’Oro), NZB’s Ready to Run Sale graduates won another 10 Group One races and 12 stakes races last season alone.

Group One winners Antino (NZ) (Redwood), Ceolwulf (NZ) (Tavistock), Feroce (NZ) (Super Seth), Gringotts (NZ) (Per Incanto), Mr Brightside (NZ) (Bullbars) and War Machine (NZ) (Harry Angel) are just some of the graduates that have recently added to the success of the Sale.

The 2025 Ready to Run Sale catalogue features the progeny of the biggest names in the stallion ranks in New Zealand, Hong Kong and Australia. 114 stallions are represented including Savabeel, Proisir, Per Incanto, Super Seth, Almanzor, Satono Aladdin, Shamexpress, Zoustar, I Am Invincible, Snitzel and more along with an incredible range of emerging and first season sires.

With three Aussie G1 winners last season - Super Seth has become a go to sire and has  10 entries.

There are more than 90 siblings to black type performers, including War Machine, Lucky Patch, Amphitrite, Coeur Volante, Jungle Magnate, Globe, La Crique, Bonham, Full of Beauty, Asterix, Happy Archer and Turn Me Loose featured. Plus, close relations on offer to Alabama Lass, Lion’s Roar, Lucky Sweynesse, War Eternal, Forgot You, Fix and more. 

War Machine was passed in at the NZB Ready to Run Sale and the G1 Stradbroke winner has a half-brother by Satono Aladdin (Jpn) catalogued.

The progeny of Group One-winning mares Miss Sentimental, Consensus, Fox Play and Anabandana are catalogued. Plus, two-year-olds out of 76 stakes-performed mares, such as Do Ra Mi, Invincible Star, Lilikoi, Miss Admiration, November Rain, Peace Force, Postmans Daughter, Puttanesca, Samovare, Villifye and more.

NZB’s Managing Director Andrew Seabrook reflected on the incredible results of the Ready to Run Sale, on the track and in the sale ring.

More than two dozen of the two-year-olds in the Ready to Run Sale catalogue are eligible for the lucrative TAB Karaka Millions Series, while any horse purchased at the Sale can compete in the $3.5m NZB Kiwi (1500m).

The 2025 edition of the Ready to Run Sale will take place at the Karaka Sales Centre from 10am (NZT) on Wednesday 12 & Thursday 13 November, with Breeze Ups to be held at Te Rapa Racecourse on Monday 13 & Tuesday 14 October.
