All 2YO heats this morning run at Randwick over 850m with these trials the key factor in deciding fields for the Group III ATC Breeders Plate and Gimcrack Stakes in two weeks time.

Heat 3 – Colts - Eviction Notice (Stay Inside) 49.53 seconds

Gai and Adrian again, but this time Tim Clark was on board Stay Inside colt Eviction Notice, who flew the gates and took off like a rocket gapping his rivals to win by daylight, running slightly quicker tome than I’m Ya Huckleberry. Impressive result for first season sire Stay Inside, who won the Golden Slipper. 

Eviction Notice was a $375,000 MM purchase.

A $375,000 Magic Millions purchase from Newgate for Gai Waterhouse & Adrian Bott Racing/Kestrel Thoroughbreds, Eviction Notice is a half-brother to US stakes-winner High Class and is the second Australian foal from Group III placed import Euroboss (USA), a daughter of Street Boss.

Heat 2 – Fillies – Home Invasion (Home Affairs) – 50.63 seconds

Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott, Adam Hyernimus combined again with Home Affairs to win the second heat with dashing chestnut filly Home Invasion. She jumped well mustered quickly to lead and kicked clear to win, albeit running slower time than the previous winner.

Home Invasion was a $220,000 MM purchase.

A $220,000 Magic Millions purchase from Segenhoe Stud for Darby Racing, Home Invasion is the third foal of Catwalk, a winning sister to stakes-winner Fox Swift from the family of Group winning fillies Pay My Bail, White Moss and White Sage.

Heat 1 – Colts ––I’m Ya Huckleberry (Home Affairs)  49.54 seconds

 

First Home Affairs to trial and I’m Ya Huckleberry did look the part being clearly stamped by his dual G1 winning sire. A big strong bay, he was head and shoulders above them in the yard and was also that on the track. He jumped quickly for Adam Hyeronimus to lead and gave a good kick when challenged to win well.

A $400,000 Magic Millions purchase from Kia Ora Stud for Gai Waterhouse & Adrian Bott Racing/Kestrel Thoroughbreds, I’m Ya Huckleberry is the second foal of Group III placed Exceed and Excel mare Key, a full sister to stakes-winner Oz Empress and grand-daughter of champion 3YO Filly Princess Coup.

Key was bought by Kia Ora for $600,000 from the 2023 Magic Millions Strawberry Hill Dispersal when in foal to Home Affairs with I’m Ya Huckleberry the result.
