One to Watch - Warwick Farm

Tara Madgwick - Monday October 6

Tassort produced an impressive winner at Warwick Farm on Monday carrying the Trilogy Racing colours that looks well up to a far better grade than this public holiday Monday meeting.

Trained by Peter Snowden and ridden by Tim Clark, Miss Freelove was second up from a spell following a fruitful initial campaign last season that saw her win at Canterbury and finish fourth in the Listed Woodlands Stud Stakes at Scone.

Taking on unbeaten colt Whatalegacy in the Benchmark 68 event over 1100m, Miss Freelove settled back in the field and unwound a big finish to power home and win by more than two lengths running away.

“When she let rip, she certainly showed an impressive turn of foot,” said tim Clark.

“We were back further than we'd planned. The way she travelled, I thought they must be going quite fast because she's a fast filly, and she was struggling to keep on to the back of them.

“She obviously paraded great. She's a sweet filly too and as I said, she showed an electric turn of foot back to her own age today.”

Miss Freelove carries the Trilogy Racing colours and was a $110,000 Magic Millions Adelaide purchase for Trilogy Racing/Suman Hedge Bloodstock from the draft of Twin Hills Stud.

With two wins and two placings from five starts and earnings topping $106,000, Miss Freelove appeals as a progressive filly to ultimately head towards Black Type.

Bred by Redbank North, she is the third winner from three to race from Vee, an unraced half-sister by Sebring to stakes-winner Terror Force.
