Juvenile Trial Watch – Randwick

Tara Madgwick - Monday October 20

There was just one heat for juveniles at Randwick on Monday morning, but it held good interest with Breeders Plate third place-getter Revengeance given a tick over outing, while the heat winner is bred on a nick that clicks.

Trained by Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott, Written By colt Plagiarism was second at his first trial at the start of the month and showed good improvement to lead all the way and win by more than a length over the Chris Waller trained Zousain filly Jaipur Maison with Revengeance ambling into third.

Retained to race by her breeder Richard Pegum, Jaipur Maison is a full sister to Group III winner Amelita from a daughter of Group II ATC Silver Slipper winner Amelia’s Dream and does look to have a measure of the talent shown by others in her immediate family.

A $120,000 Inglis Premier purchase for Redfox Racing from the Widden Stud draft, Plagiarism is the first named foal from well bred Snitzel mare Profiterole, a winning sister to 2YO stakes-winner Nomothaj f rom Group III VRC Maribyrnong Plate winner Real Stolle.

Written By has sired eight winners from 12 starters out of mares by Snitzel including three stakes-winners, plus a stakes placed horse and two of those SW’s The Playwright and The Novelist are also trained by the Waterhouse Bott stable.
