Unraced First Season Sire Trial Report

Tara Madgwick - Wednesday December 10

As we move through the summer we can expect to see an increasing number of juvenile barrier trials around the country and this report is a great barometer for what is in the pipeline for our first season sires.

Stallions that have activity going on at the trials frequently follow up with winners on the track so a look at who has what and where is often illuminating.

Wild Ruler has had more unraced trial horses than any other first season sire.

Click here for the full report and the following sires have produced unraced trial winners to keep an eye out for: Profiteer, Splintex, St Mark’s Basilica (Fr) (UPDATE, the trial winner for St Mark's Basilica became a race winner on Wednesday evening, read about Aristopolos here) , Sword of State and Wild Ruler, who has had 13 unraced triallers, which is the most of any sire.

Big banger sire Home Affairs has had 10 unraced to the trials and seven of those from mid-November on, while archrival Stay Inside has been comparatively quiet with just the one unraced trial runner in the same time period.
