Kiwi bred Tavistock gelding Tavi Time made it back to back wins in the $250,000 Group III ATC Summer Cup at Randwick on Boxing Day (2000m) putting the spotlight on his half-brother headed to Karaka Book 1 for Pencarrow Stud.

Trained by Kris Lees, Tavi Time won the Listed Scone Cup back in May and has been racing consistently this campaign, albeit in tough races without winning.
Given a patient ride by Dylan Gibbons, Tavi Time crept up along the fence in the straight and then took a split between runners to surge home and win by more than a length.
Tavi Time has the overall record of 10 wins and six placings from 28 starts with prizemoney topping $1.1million.
"It is really good to get a win, especially for connections because it's been a really frustrating preparation right the way through," Lees said.
"He is more than capable as we know. He got a lovely ride from Dylan, he got the right pressure up front.
"He bided his time and took the runs when they appeared so it was a really good win."
Bred and sold by Pencarrow Stud, Tavi Time was initially sold as a yearling for $60,000 as part of the New Zealand Bloodstock’s Book 1 Sale to Kiltannon Stables before he was later sold for $130,000 at the Inglis Ready2Race Sale where he was purchased by part-owner Adrian Pazman.
