Eureka Stud Make Million Dollar Magic

Sponsored Content - by Tara Madgwick - Thursday January 8

Leading Queensland nursery Eureka Stud will be kept busy at Magic Millions with a big draft of 27 yearlings and 10 are by the farm’s champion sire Spirit of Boom, who runs at an impressive 73% winners to runners with 30 stakes-winners on his tally.

If you buy a yearling by Spirit of Boom, chances are you are buying a winner and over the last year it’s been stakes-winners such as Shining Smile, Boomtown Boss, Gin Spirit and Golden Boom as well as G1 placed filly Karinska that have been leading the way.

Incognito was the first yearling sold by Eureka Stud to fetch $1million!

Eureka Stud were in the spotlight at this sale last year when selling the highest priced yearling from the first crop of Golden Slipper winner Stay Inside.

They were well rewarded when the colt from Bleu Zebra fetched $1million to the bid of James Harron Bloodstock Colt Partnership/Tony Fung Colts and he has since come out and won the Group III ATC Breeders Plate on debut for the Michael Freedman stable.

The Golden Slipper is now firmly in the sights for this exciting colt, who won a barrier trial last week as he prepares for the Sydney Autumn Carnival.
