Lucky Vega (IRE) had the first two home in the 1000m juvenile maiden at Eagle Farm on Wednesday with the Rob and Annabel Archibald trained filly Cherry Bomshell turning the race into a procession.
She showed nice ability in two trials at Randwick in December before she was dispatched to the Gold Coast for the $500,000 Magic Millions Debut on January 17.
She finished only fifth to Toorak Jewel, but was greatly improved by the experience and was a hot favourite today.
Cherry Bomshell was in a class of her own to the line opening up to win by nearly seven lengths for Ben Thompson with Lucky Vega colt High Authority a distant second.

A $220,000 Magic Millions purchase from Yulong for Australian Bloodstock/Neasham & Archibald Racing, Cherry Bomshell is a half-sister to Group placed Rhythm of Love and is the third winner from four to race from Not a Cherry.
By champion sire Not a Single Doubt from US stakes-winner Cherokee Echo (USA), Not a Cherry was covered again last spring by Lucky Vega after producing a colt by Grunt.
