He had an incredible racing career, winning the Group I MRC Sir Rupert Clarke Stakes (1400m) at four and then the Group I MVRC Manikato Stakes (1200m) at age seven after starting his career in a blaze of glory as a three year-old.

before having his colours lowered for the first time when second to champion
colt and now leading sire Pierro in the Group II ATC Hobartville Stakes (1400m).
He then bumped into another champion when finishing fourth to Dundeel in the
Group I ATC Randwick Guineas (1600m).Retiring sound, Rebel Dane earned in excess of $2.4 million in winning eight races and placing nine times from 40 starts and raced exclusively in Group I and Group II races at his last 31 starts.
His win in the weight-for-age Manikato Stakes was a true testament to his quality as the field contained eight Group I winners including Chautauqua, Buffering, English and The Quarterback.
