Media Release - Thursday July 25
The 2019 Arqana August Yearling Sale (Deauville August 17 – 19) features a quality packed catalogue of 338 yearlings by a wide variety of the world's best sires including American Pharoah, Camelot, Dansili, Dark Angel, Dubawi, Fastnet Rock, Frankel, Galileo, Invincible Spirit, Kingman, Kodiac, Le Havre, Lope De Vega, No Nay Never, Sea The Stars and Siyouni.

ARQANA's graduates have continued to make a name for themselves this season, in particular those bought at the August Yearling Sale on both sides of the English Channel.

Of these, SOTTSASS (by Siyouni and consigned by Ecurie des Monceaux) was given the best three year-old rating in Europe after his outstanding win in the Group I Qipco Prix du Jockey Club at Chantilly. He currently dominates Class of 2017 generation, that has also produced last year's juvenile Group winner FLEETING (by Zofany o fered fr om HS V Agency), who recently finished third in the Epsom Oaks before going a place closer in the Ribblesdale Stakes at Royal Ascot.

Others include ROMAN CANDLE (by Le Havre consigned by Haras du Cadran), ETOILE (by Siyouni ofered from Haras des Capucines), and BIG BROTHERS PRIDE (by Invincible Spirit from Ecurie des Monceaux), to name just a few.

The 2018 generation has already made its mark on the racecourse in the shape of ARIZONA (by No Nay Never from the Fairway Consignment) in the Group II Coventry Stakes at Royal Ascot last week, that gave him a Timeform rating of 110p. Older horses such as INTELLOGENT, MORGAN LE FAYE and MASTER OF REALITY also continue to show their talent at Group I level.

The catalogue brings together the elite of European bloodstock, with 58% of the yearlings out of black-type performers or black-type producers. This percentage rises to 70% in the 158 lots in Part 1 (Saturday and Sunday).
