Dissident Colt Fastest at MM Breeze Up Session

A colt by former Australian Horse of the Year Dissident impressed at the first breeze-up session leading into next month's Magic Millions Gold Coast 2YOs in Training Sale.

Dissident colt from Demanding QueenThe colt, catalogued as Lot 235, stopped the clock in 10.12 seconds at this morning's Warwick Farm session in an impressive performance.

The first living foal of the lightly raced Commands mare Demanding Queen, the black or brown colt is a member of the O'Gorman Racing Stables draft from Tamworth.

The Dissident colt hails from the family of Group One winners including Bonneval, St Reims, Champagne, Charmont, Octagonal and Diamond Lover.

Second fastest of the day, also from the O'Gorman Racing Stables draft, was Lot 64 – the Wandjina colt from Mina.

A half brother to Group winner Puritan and three other metropolitan winners, the colt stopped the clock in 10.24 seconds.

The fastest filly today was the Starspangledbanner youngster from the multiple Melbourne winning Aqlaam mare Zakayla in 10.39 seconds.

To be presented at the Gold Coast by Alexia Fraser Bloodstock, the bay filly hails from a black type filled international family with her third dam being a group winner by Darshaan.

The breeze-up action will head south to the Seymour Racing Club on Friday with a select group of two-year-olds set to step out from 9am (AEST).

As with all breeze-up days, the session from Seymour will be streamed live via the Magic Millions website.
