Matt Scown Returns to Yarraman to Join Management Team

The Mitchell family are pleased to announce that Matt Scown will be returning to Yarraman Park to join the management team in 2020.

Matt ScownMatt was previously at Yarraman Park for over 4 years until his move south of the border to Victoria to expand his experience within the bloodstock ranks including his current role as Inglis Bloodstock Consultant along with Hong Kong & New Zealand representative.

“We’re delighted to welcome Matt back to Yarraman. He’s a natural horseman, hard worker with the right attitude. Matt will fit in well back in Scone,” mentioned Harry Mitchell .

“We have always had a lot of time for Matt. He has gained significant experience in both racing & bloodstock over the past couple of years. He will become a vital member of the team at the sales & on the farm,” explained Arthur Mitchell.

"I am extremely honoured to be returning to the Yarraman Park family with my wife to work alongside Harry and Arthur Mitchell again. Harry and Arthur bestowed a very rare opportunity for me to come back to Yarraman Park as part of the senior management team. It is a very exciting time to be joining the team at Yarraman Park as the farm has gone from strength to strength with their resident sire I Am Invincible breaking records on both the race track and having phenomenal results in the sale ring, aswell as the first Hellbent weanlings gracing the sales rings with their presence in 2020.

"I cannot thank Arthur Inglis, Mark Webster and the team at Inglis enough for the past two years, I have been given countless opportunities to improve my knowledge in the thoroughbred industry and exposure throughout Hong Kong,” stated Scown.

“Matt is a fantastic guy and has been a pleasure to have at Inglis” said Inglis Managing Director Mark Webster. ‘We wish he and Sarah well on their new adventure and we will look forward to welcoming him back to Riverside with the Yarraman Park draft for the Classic Sale i February.”

 
Matt will have his last day at Inglis on December 23rd .
