Valuable New Addition at Belmont Bloodstock

Belmont Bloodstock is delighted to announce the recent appointment of Lauren Dunning who will be will be working together with Damon Gabbedy from his Melbourne base in the role of Executive Bloodstock Assistant.

Lauren Dunning will be a valuable addition at Belmont BloodstockLauren is a Godolphin Flying Start graduate who, like Damon, originally hails from Perth, Western Australia. Having started horse riding lessons as a child and being involved in eventing throughout high school, she ‘fell’ into racing during her gap year with a passion for horses.

After moving to Perth for university, Lauren worked full time as a stable hand and track rider for Dan Morton whilst completing a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication, a Graduate Diploma in Education, as well as Certificate in Equine Sports Massage.

Lauren has over 10 years’ experience in the industry both on a national and international level, previously working in a variety of roles in both the breeding and racing sectors. Lauren has also run her own equine sports therapy business for both racing and performance horses and has keen eye for conformation with a strong interest in racing, physiology and pedigrees.

Her most recent role saw her employed by the well-respected OTI Racing as their Business Development Manager. Working on a range of ventures, including client relations, event management, as well as developing marketing and social media strategies.

Lauren feels the “opportunity to work alongside one of the industry’s leading agents in Damon Gabbedy, will provide invaluable experience.”

“His eye for quality bloodstock and mentoring young people who are passionate about the racing industry was a significant attraction to the role and I look forward to getting amongst it all in the coming months.”

Lauren has hit the ground running, already completing research for the Magic Millions Gold Coast catalogue, stallion statistics and various research projects.

Damon Gabbedy is “thrilled to have Lauren join the team, she starred in the prestigious Godolphin Flying Start program and is driven, organised, efficient. She brings a wealth of knowledge and skills to Belmont Bloodstock Agency. We are very much looking forward to a successful 2020 sales season.”
