Darley Blueblood Salutes

Tara Madgwick - Tuesday January 7

When Darley sent Group I winning Redoute’s Choice mare Anamato to the Northern Hemisphere to start her stud career, they probably had high hopes of success, but after producing one stakes-winner from four foals, she is now back in Australia and had a winner on Tuesday.

Lonhro is the sire of AmittoThree year-old Lonhro filly Amitto cast off maiden status as a red hot favourite scoring a half length win in the 1300 metre maiden at her fourth start after finishing second at her two previous runs before spelling.

Amitto is a half-sister to Listed winner Anamba (by Shamardal) and is the third winner for Anamato, who has been a busy producer for Darley since returning to Australia in 2014.

She has a two year-old filly by Lonhro called Outline, a yearling colt by Street Boss (USA) and a colt foal by Shooting to Win.
