First Stakes Horse for Extreme Choice

Tara Madgwick - Sunday October 11

Dual Group I winning sprinter, Extreme Choice posted his first stakes performer at Caulfield on Saturday when two year-old colt Extreme Warrior finish second to Fake Love in the Listed MRC Debutant Stakes (1000m).

Trained by Mick Price and Mick Kent Jr, Extreme Warrior was anticipated to run well following a recent good barrier trial and ran up to expectation when beating all but I Am Invincible filly Fake Love.

He found the line well from off the pace to finish second beaten a little over a length in a most promising debut.

A $160,000 Magic Millions purchase for Mick Price Racing/Dermot Farrington from the Glenlogan Park draft, Extreme Warrior is a half-brother to stakes-winner Thrillster and stakes-placed Free Thrills so is the third Black Type performer from minor winning Show a Heart mare Heart of Thrills.

Heart of Thrills is a three-quarter sister-in-blood to Group III winner Goota Have a Heart and stakes-winner Crossyourheart.

Extreme Choice

Only the  second son of Not a Single Doubt to go to stud, Extreme Choice stands at a fee of $22,000 this spring.
